The gardens contains two tennis courts, a bowling green, large children's play area, snack bar, and many features including a bandstand, clock tower, and fabulous flower beds. The Borough Gardens hosts a number of events during the spring and summer months, which inlcude live bands and a teddy bear picnic. The bandstand tends to be the focal point for these events, and you can relax on the grassy slope which runs from the children's play area and watch the entertainment taking place. The gardens are well worth a visit during your stay in Dorchester. Look out for the feature fountain, clock tower and bandstand. And if you are visiting with children, why not let them play in the large children's play area, while you relax and unwind with a picnic, or some refreshments from the snack bar, which is close by.
