Dorchester is unusual in that it has two separate rail stations - Dorchester West and Dorchester South.  Dorchester South falls on the main line between Weymouth and London Waterloo, while Dorchester West serves passengers from the west country.  Thw two stations in Dorchester are about a 5 minute walk from each other and the town centre.
